Thanks to the joint work of the Russian Convention Bureau and the Concord Comany with the support of the Roscongress Foundation, following the results of the presentation by the Russian Bid Committee, Moscow was chosen as the host for organizing the next IPHS conference in 2020. The conference will be held on July 4-6, 2022 in an online format, and its theme will be - Transformations of the city space: renovation of the urban environment.
The decision to hold the conference in Moscow was made at the meeting of the program committee of the international society on July 15 in Yokohama (Japan). In addition to Moscow, there were presentations from the cities of Lübeck (Germany) and Oslo (Norway). The presentation from Russia was made by a representative of the international community - Professor of the Department of Urban Planning of the Moscow Institute of Architecture Alexei Krasheninnikov and a representative of the potential congress operator of the event - Chairman of the Board of the Concord Group of Companies Natalia Evnevich.
As a result of the presented presentations, Moscow was chosen as the venue for the international conference. The decision was officially announced at the closing session of the conference in Yokohama on July 19.
Holding this event in Moscow will expand the boundaries of international scientific cooperation, and will also promote the integration of Russian, including Moscow, specialists into the world scientific community, which solves modern problems of the urban environment.
The International Conference of the Association of Historians of Urban
Planning is a prestigious scientific and business event and is held every two
