On April 20, 2026, a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement was held in Shenzhen, China, between the Russian Convention Bureau and the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce for High-Tech Industry.

The signing was a logical continuation of previous negotiations, during which the parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, exchanging experiences, and implementing joint initiatives in business tourism, convention and exhibition activities, supporting innovative businesses, and collaborating in the field of modern technology.

The agreement provides for the development of partnership in a number of key areas, including the exchange of best practices in organizing international business events and technology exhibitions, the implementation of digital and smart solutions, the development of technology projects, the creation of platforms for interaction between entrepreneurs, investors, and development institutions, and support for bilateral business missions and business delegations.

Particular attention will be paid to the application of modern technology solutions in the convention and exhibition industry, including the digitalization of events, the use of innovative services, and the development of joint projects in high-tech industries.

The Guangdong Chamber of Commerce for High-Tech Industry is one of China's leading industry associations. Founded in 1999, it was the country's first high-tech chamber of commerce and industry and has been promoting the development of the technology economy for over 25 years.
